R. W. Beck to Speak at Clean Water Agencies Conference

DENVER (January 19, 2010) – R. W. Beck Executive Vice President Ed Wetzel will present at the National Association of Clean Water Agencies’ 2010 Winter Conference, which is being held February 2 to 5 in Austin, Texas.

Wetzel and City of Indianapolis Public Works Director David Sherman will present "Monetizing Utility Assets to Fund Infrastructure Needs—the Indianapolis Story." They will describe the deteriorating infrastructure of the city, financial conditions and challenges, effect of the EPA Consent Decree, and possible alternatives to best monetize utility assets. Finally, they will discuss the three alternatives the City is currently evaluating.

"R. W. Beck has worked with the City of Indianapolis to assist them through the process of evaluating their alternatives in addressing their critical infrastructure needs," said Wetzel. "In our presentation at NACWA’s Winter Conference, David and I will discuss Mayor Greg Ballard’s approach to alternative solutions and share our insights on the process, lessons learned, and potential paths to move forward."
